Annunciata (Ciata) Cooper – Physiotherapist

Ciata, has been working as a physiotherapist since she graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Exercise Science with Honours and a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies.
While studying at UQ Ciata was exposed to lead researchers in the field of physiotherapy and honed her skills under the guidance of world-renowned clinicians. Since graduating she furthered her skills by completing specialist training in acupuncture and dry needling, lumbopelvic pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, chronic pain and management of tendons.
Being a Physio and Exercise Scientist, Ciata believes that movement and exercise are critical to helping you achieve your best treatment outcome. To enable her to prescribe the best exercises for you she has completed Pilates (Equipment & Matwork), Strength & Conditioning and Tai Chi certification.
Ciata is a sports lover and has covered a variety of different sporting events throughout her career including AFL, netball, Athletics (disability championships), hockey and cycling.
Ciata enjoys working with all patients across the lifespan, whether that is to improve quality of life as you age or optimise athletic performance to achieve your goals. Her clinical passions are neck pain and headaches, knee treatment (particularly ACL rehabilitation), shoulder pain, spinal pain, geriatrics and chronic pain management.
When she’s not in clinic you’ll find Ciata out and about walking, running or riding the trails, surfing and growing and cooking her own produce.
