What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme or NDIS for short is an Australian system of support available to people with disability, their families and carers. The NDIS is a national scheme supported by both the national and participating state and territory governments.

The NDIS is designed to support Australians under 65 who have permanent and significant disabilities and for many people, it will be the first time they receive disability support.

The NDIS attempts to take a lifetime approach to care by helping people early on in life to improve their longer-term outcomes.

The NDIS is not a system of welfare but rather a network that can provide people with information as well as connect them with various support groups such as specialist doctors, nursing services like Vital Home Health Services as well as support groups.

At The Physio Movement we are committed to working collaboratively with other services in the NDIS to provide you with the best participant centred care and ensuring we achieve the best outcomes for your goals. At TPM we are a multidisciplinary clinic, meaning we provided Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, and Gym rehabilitation all in our purpose built locations, making it simple for our NDIS participants.

NDIS Physiotherapy

At The Physio Movement, we have a purpose built open space Physiotherapy gym, which allows us space to work one-on-one with our participants. Our Physiotherapy rehabilitation gym allows our participants to use the latest modern equipment under the guidance of our specialised NDIS therapists. We offer large private treatment rooms, and if its more convenient, we provide home visits and also hydrotherapy.

Our NDIS Physiotherapists are extremely passionate about working with their participants and have extensive knowledge of activity modification and NDIS care. Our mission is to work with our participants, allowing them to reach their goals.

NDIS Exercise Physiology and Personal Training

At TPM our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists work closely together, creating an integrated healthcare approach. The Physio Movement NDIS participants are commonly seen by both professionals to ensure a high level of care is achieved.
