Lymphedema/ pelvic congestion:

Lymph is a clear watery fluid containing white blood cells that circulates throughout the lymphatic system. As a result, its removing bacteria and certain proteins from the body’s tissues, transporting fat from the small intestine, and supplying mature lymphocytes to the blood for the immune system.Lymphedema is chronic swelling in the arm or leg following damage to the lymph nodes or lymph vessels.

Lymphatic massage or manual lymphatic drainage is a technique that uses very light pressure with soft pumping movements in the direction of lymph nodes. As a result, this helps increase lymph flow, removing harmful substances from tissues and improving metabolism, subsequently increasing immune function.

Endometriosis:

Endometriosis is a medical condition wherein tissue similar to uterine tissue is found outside the uterus (ovaries, fallopian tubes). Menstrual endometrium regurgitates from the uterus, through the fallopian tubes, and into the pelvis and peritoneal cavity. As a result, the tissue can also be found in scars and on the bladder, bowel, intestines, colon, appendix, and rectum. Furthermore, it is found inside the vagina, bladder, or on the skin.

Pelvic Floor Prolapse:

Cystocele: A cystocele is the fall of the bladder into the vagina because of a pelvic floor muscle weakness and may result in incomplete emptying of the bladder and consequently urinary leakage. It is graded from mild to severe.

It may also occur due to repeated muscle straining (during childbirth) or estrogen deficiency (seen with menopause and/or oral contraceptive pill usage). A cystocele can be managed with Pelvic floor Physiotherapy which includes strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles.

Enterocele: Herniation of the small intestine between the rectum and the vagina.

Rectocele: A rectocele is the herniation of rectal tissue in the vaginal wall and maybe lead to drooping of vaginal tissue out of the vaginal canal. It may be due to childbirth, chronic constipation, chronic coughing, heavy lifting, estrogen deficiency and obesity. Symptoms may include constipation also pelvic pain. A rectocele can be managed with Pelvic floor Physiotherapy

Womens health concerns covered by a Chiropractor

The spinal column acts as a communication highway and as more and more research is being done, it is evident that the crucial messages being sent by the nervous system are the most important avenue we have in ensuring a healthy functioning body. Therefore, It is becoming a standard recognised process in health care that every person at least has a spinal and nervous system check up by a  Chiropractor to ensure health for tomorrow.

Optimal Health = Optimum Function

Painful Menstrual Cycle:

Female sexual organs just like other organs of the body need nerve supply from the spine. It also happens that many women who suffer from painful menstrual cycles have back pain or neck pain in general. As a result, Chiropractic adjustments can assist women in getting pain relief from these problems and the advantages speak for themselves. Chiropractic care adjustments help make sure that the connection between the spinal column and sexual organ is an effective one.

Chiropractic care Woolgoolga, has helped many women suffering due to Womens health problems of painful menstrual cycles, living a life of wellness in Woolgoolga.

Pregnancy:

Many pregnancies, while not completely comfortable, proceed with no significant problems at all. Furthermore, as your abdomen increases in size your back starts to sway more, your posture changes, and stress can occur on the joints of the spine and pelvis. This can cause the joints to misalign or move improperly as a result, causing joint or nerve irritation. Many times women who present with this complaint to their obstetrician or Doctor are told they have a “pinched nerve.” Regardless of the term used to describe the pain, Chiropractic Care treatment for lower back pain has been shown to be effective in pain relief of this discomfort.

In addition, An important element in creating the healthiest foundation possible for developing babies lies within receiving regular prenatal chiropractic checkups for total life wellbeing. Another benefit of Womens health at TPM, is Chiropractor Doctor Shae’s has a very calming approach to her treatment also using gentle techniques to relieve pain and discomfort.
